Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Sales & Marketing Executive (SME) is responsible for marketing new and renewal business insurance accounts and managing the marketing plan. Coupled with providing advice and assistance requiring advanced technical and industry knowledge so as to meet client`s needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement the BIC marketing and sales strategy including development of new revenue streams and promotion of existing ones.
Review submission of current/renewal policy design and rate information, historical claims experience data, and any additional related materials required for underwriting the risk.
Combine and consolidate industry data to provide an evaluation of potential markets based on claims experience, losses, location, and industry trends.
Design and manage an approach to opportunity development, including horizon scanning and opportunity research.
Improve the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to facilitate client account management as well as business development.
Coordinate client pitching and submissions with team support and input.
Support with new business presentations and attend meetings.
Responsible for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Botswana Insurance Company Limited.
Collaboration with regional and international partners on international businesses and global programs.
Manage the company website and social media strategy.
Manage the creative, digital and media agencies externally and lead all brand campaigns
Establish and maintain effective, positive working relationships with associates, clients and carriers.
Advice and support the company with Public Relations (PR) and Marketing.
Organize company attendance at industry conferences and exhibitions.
General administration and office support.

Excellent relationship management, as is crucial to our firm and clients’ success.
Must possess a strong understanding of business insurance coverage.

Business, Industry and competition knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate should have the following;
A Business related degree and a masters would be an added advantage
Minimum of 7yearsgeneral insurance experience at senior level and 5 of which are in the underwriting space.
An associate of the IISA or ACII or equivalent
Exposure in different insurance markets in the region is also an added advantage
