DUTIES SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:-
- Documenting, developing and implementing effective internal controls and accounting systems to streamline and ensure the integrity of information
- Control of Cash Flow on a daily basis including Cash Book reconciliations to ensure optimal utilisation of available finances.
- Production of weekly profit estimates and accurate, reliable monthly management accounts
- Participation in Management Committees and contribute to business decisions by providing accurate and rehaore
- Evaluation of Business Processes with a view to improving cost-effectiveness and efficiencies
- Interaction with banks & external and internal auditors in the best interest of the company
- Training and mentoring all relevant staff to achieve daily, weekly and monthly accuracy of business res-. ::
- Maintenance and management of Inventory costing through Accpac Bills of Material
- Administration of grain procurement system, including the verification of gram procurement contract: – South African Futures Exchange (SAFEX) rules and standards.
- Maintenance of the Assets register and ensure periodic verification of assets by location and catego–
- Management of monthly stock counts.
- Processing of month end journals and reconciliations.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns

- A tertiary qualification in Accounting (preferably a chartered accountant) plus a minimum of 5 years working as a management accountant.
- Experience in the FMCG environment will be an advantage
- Knowledge of ACCPAC is a distinct advantage and knowledge of Excel is critical
- A working knowledge of commodity futures and trading, especially in the South African market is essential
