The position contributes to the work of Senior Managers
Key Skills/competencies
The Logistics Manager will be mainly responsible for the following duties among other things
- Ensures administration and operation of the organization’s warehoused, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment functions satisfactory
- Ensures warehouse processes are maintained and managed to limit financial risks, including goods returns, credit, receiving & dispatch processes.
- Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities: audits goods received into the warehouse
- Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
- Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization and maintenance and protector, for facilities and equipment
- Efficient management of inbound and outbound logistics
- Forecasting and optimization of inventory levels to match customer demands
- Inventory control and analysis to prevent stock obsolescence
Qualification
- 2 years managerial level experience WITH at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Inventory Management. Accounting and/or Purchasing and Supply from a recognised institute OR at least 5 years’ experience in inventory and supply chain management
- Excellent skills in communication, analytical, well-structured and organised.
- Excellent in excel and ERP inventory systems
- Experience in mining/technical/engineering environment is an added advantage
- Must display safety leadership at all times
- Must have a Driver’s License Class B.
- Prepared to travel.
Location:
The position will be based in Francistown.
