VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. 2 OF 2019
MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER (GICO) – (1 POST)
SALARY: C1 (152,724 -182,484) per annum
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
BENEFITS:
iii. Contributory pension scheme (Government contributes 15% and employee 5%)
iv. Optional contributory Medical Aid (Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Social Sciences (Economics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration or related field
EXPERIENCE:
• At least four (4) years relevant work experience, two (2) of which should have been at a C2 level, or equivalent in the Private Sector or in a Parastatal Organization.
• Knowledge of M&E methods
• Strong analytical skills including analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Sound Knowledge of computerized data collection and statistical data analysis program(s)
• Excellent Information Technology skills
• Basic knowledge of research methodology
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB;
To assist in monitoring performance of the implementation of sectoral strategies.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS;
• Assists in identifying strategy implementation gaps in the various sectors and provides strategic support to improve their performance.
• Assists in assessing the implementation of all government policies and related programmes and projects.
• Undertakes post programme and project evaluation assessments.
• Prepares all policies, programmes and projects monitoring reports and dashboard for the executive.
• Assists with the collection and collation of all public domain information and updates key performance indicators on the monitoring and evaluation dashboard.
• Assists in monitoring and reviewing the validity of existing policies and programmes
• Undertakes benchmarking for strategic direction to keep abreast with global developments.
• Researches on job related issues.
