VACANCY: PRINCIPAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST II (D3)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified visionary, self-driven and results oriented Botswana citizens to apply for the post of Principal Management Analyst II (D1) tenable at the Headquarters in Gaborone.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
To undertake management consultancies in the Administration of Justice (AOJ) as well as provide advisory services in business analysis work and monitor their impact on service delivery.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
1. Professional Advice
a. Addresses customer queries on business analysis as well as HR policies and procedures.
b. Provides professional advice in the AOJ on management services related issues.
2. Organisational Reviews
a) Monitors organisational reviews undertaken by private consultants by providing expert advice as a member of the technical team.
b) Conducts development and review of the AOJ functional structure.
c) Coordinates manpower utilisation studies to determine the appropriate manning levels.
3. Development and Career Path
a) Monitors the development and review of Job Effectiveness Description
b) Monitors the development and review of Competency Based Career Paths.
4. Monitoring of Implementation Progress
a) Facilitates Development of implementation of strategy for approved recommendations.
b) Monitors implementation of approved recommendations for restructuring, manpower utilisation exercises and reforms.
4. Process Re-Engineering
a) Facilitates identification of process to be re-engineered.
b) Conducts re-engineering and auditing of processes.
c) Prepares and presents re-engineering reports to management.
5. Compliance Monitoring
a) Monitors compliance to customer service standards and guidelines.
b) Facilitates Ministries to implement re-engineered processes.
6. Staff Supervision
a) Manages performance of junior officers.
7. Job Evaluation and Structural Reviews
a) Assesses jobs and recommends appropriate grades to the supervisor
b) Assesses grades and structural implications of manpower requests.
8. Data Collection and Report Writing
a) Leads teams in data collection and analysis for various management services specialist fields such as job analysis, organisational reviews, and manpower utilisation.
b) Analyses progress reports on implementation of approved recommendations.
c) Analyses and consolidates draft reports.
d) Prepares quarterly progress report
9. Performance Audits
a) Identifies key factors affecting service delivery and advises accordingly.
b) Monitors adherence to HR policies and standards in the Ministry/Department.
c) Undertakes quarterly HR inspections to check compliance to HR policies, standards and guidelines.
10. Secretariat Services
a) Provides secretariat services to the lower job evaluation panel.
11. Self-Development
a) Attends workshop and Seminars
b) Researches on job related issues
12. Staff Development
a) Mentor and coaches junior officers.
c) Provides on the job training to junior officers.
b) Identifies developmental needs of supervisees and recommends appropriate training.
Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management.
SALARY: D3: (P 235 692 – 260 208 per annum)
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Social Science plus Certificate in Management Services or Degree in Management Services. Two (2) years’ experience as Senior Business Architecture Analyst or Eight (8) years relevant work experience.

BENEFITS:
i) Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% employee pays 50%).
