DEPOT CONTROLLER

Reporting to the Bakery Sales & Logistics Manager, you shall have a responsibility to ensure that customer orders are processed, received and delivered efficiently as per specifications

Your principal responsibilities shall include the following:
- Prepare and communicate customer orders to the production team.
- Facilitate a daily vehicle inspection by Bakery Sales Drivers to ensure safety and compliance.
- Supervise a team of 8-12 people i.e Monitor and regulate overtime work of his team.
- Prepare a daily route roaster for Bakery Sales Drivers.
- Assist in formulation of Sales targets for Bakery Sales Drivers.
- Ensure profitability of each route i e building a deeper understanding of each route.
- Monitor stock returns and damages to eliminate loss.
- Liaise with Debtors Department on status of customer accounts before delivery
- Filling and archiving of documents in line with Company statutory and internal requirements.
- Receive and attend telephonic enquiries from customers on a daily basis.
- Maintain a desired level of customer satisfaction to enhance sales activities
- Ensure the depot, vehicles, equipment and the general outlook of the premises is maintained in high standard.
- Manage day to day operations of the depot and growing sales of the designated territory.
- Participate actively in the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs in order to contribute to Company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should have a Diploma m Business Administration/Accounting or equivalent Three (3) years post qualification experience in a supervisor or middle management position in the FMCG and manufacturing industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and ACCPAC is crucial.
