VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – EXECUTIVE PERSONAL ASSISTANT
The Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services (SADCAS) is a multi-economy accreditation body established in terms of Article 15 B of the Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Annex to the SADC Protocol on Trade with the primary purpose of ensuring that conformity assessment service providers operating in those SADC Member States which do not have national accreditation bodies are subject to an oversight by an authoritative body. SADCAS services the accreditation needs of 14 SADC Member States namely: Angola; Botswana; Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); Eswatini; Lesotho; Madagascar; Malawi; Mozambique; Namibia; Seychelles; Tanzania; Zambia; and Zimbabwe. By assuring technical competence through accreditation, SADCAS plays a key role towards the achievement of SADC goals in trade facilitation and in the protection of health, safety and the environment.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to provide a full range of office management, secretarial services and personal assistance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Technical Manager and to act as an interface between the Executive Office, SADCAS Board of Directors, stakeholders and clients.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Provide personal assistance/support to the CEO and Technical Manager
- Provide administrative support to the CEO and Technical Manager
- Manage Executive Office’s external relationships for efficient and effective communication is efficient.
- Maintain personal development plans
- Perform activities as may be requested by the CEO/Technical Manager from time to time.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration
- Knowledge of Office and Project administration.
- Basic knowledge/foundation on accreditation and how the process works.
- Knowledge of office administration tasks and processes.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years PA experience of all activities included in the job description.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience with Senior Management and Executives.
- Driver’s license will be an advantage.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Personality traits: Assertiveness, Confidence & Professionalism.
- Good grooming and presentation.
- Good planning skills.
- Flexible and proactive.
- Good written and verbal communication and able communicate effectively both internally and externally Interpersonal.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including a working knowledge of presentation software packages preferably Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
