MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide strategic leadership in the development of technologies and commercialization
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
⦁ Develops frameworks for the development of Technology Sector Policies, Legislation, Standards and Strategies.
⦁ Provides guidance on Technology Sector Policy, legislation and strategy implementation.
⦁ Coordinates compliance to policies, legislation, standards and strategies for the Technology function.
⦁ Interprets Technology policies and legislation for various stakeholders.
⦁ Resolves customer complaints and queries.
⦁ Oversees the development and implementation of the performance strategy and plan for technology function.
⦁ Coordinates National Technology Value Chain development and implementation.
⦁ Consults with Stakeholders in the development and review Policies, Legislation and Strategies.
⦁ Establishes and maintains partnerships and collaborates with relevant stakeholders to facilitate Technology development.
⦁ Coordinates development, monitoring and evaluation framework for the Technology function.
⦁ Coordinates Technology foresight studies and advises on adoption and development of appropriate and relevant technologies.
⦁ Advocates for incentives for technology development for research in public and private institutions
⦁ Coordinates Commercialization of locally developed technologies and innovations.
⦁ Coordinates adaptation and adoption of imported technologies
⦁ Oversees the negotiations of contracts and licenses relating to Technology to maximize operational and financial performance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Engineering and Technology related fields.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of eighteen (18) years experience in policy development and related field, two (2) years of which
should have been served as Director (El) or equivalent.
PROFFESSIONAL REGISTRATION: Applicants must provide valid proof of registration with relevant professional Board.
SALARY: F2 salary scale P578,508 per annum
LEAVE: 30 Working days per annum

3. Housing allowance at the rate of 2% of basic salary
