To lead efforts to establish and maintain a robust compliance framework, conduct assessments, and oversee governance structures to promote a culture of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance. Integral to this role is building and managing strong governance and reporting capabilities across the Group.
2.Education, Experience and Skills
Education
•A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, law, or a related discipline.
Experience
•8+ years of progressively increasing responsibilities for Compliance developing and implementing financial servkes/microfi nance sector-related compliance monitoring programs, managing compliance risks, conducting compliance Risk Assessments, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Certifications
•Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
•Certificates in compliance, AML, Audit, would be added advantage.
Skills
•Ability to understand and interpret legislation in order to develop compliance risk management and testing plans.
•Ability to review and understand complex areas of compliance and all possible changes required stemming from changes in legislation.
•Ability to identify, monitor and test compliance controls to provide independent assurance that the controls will yield compliance with laws and regulations.
•Ability to develop advanced metrics consistent with Target Operating Model and Zero Ops.
3.Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
•Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively communicated across the organization
•Works with the Enterprise Compliance Officer and Principal Compliance Officer to ensure timely responses to inquiries and examinations.
•Conducts and oversees regular monitoring of compliance with legislation, policies procedures and controls.
•Prepares regular compliance reports for management, and other committees.
•Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks through proactive measures and risk management strategies.
•Collaborate with risk management teams to integrate compliance considerations into overall risk assessments.
•Ensures staff awareness of industry and organisation regulations.
•Drive the implementation of governance policies to ensure accountability and transparency.
•Performs periodic business process reviews against relevant regulations and laws.
•Research relevant regulatory issues affecting the organisation within the financial services industry to streamline activities to remain compliant.
•Provides information and support for the preparation of financial reports and budgets.

•Diverse Regulations: managing compliance with various local and internal regulations across markets.
•Risk integration; balancing growth with risk mitigation by integrating compliance into the broader risk management of LAHL
•Conducting regular monitoring of compliance with legislation, policies, procedures, and controls.
•Preparing comprehensive compliance reports for management and committees.
•Coordinating risk control self-assessment and monitoring key compliance controls.
•Reviewing and assessing the impact of proposed legislation.
•Navigating complexities related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology integration.
•Fostering a compliant and ethical organizational culture.
