Job Description
Company: Butcher Shop
Location: Gaborone, Botswana
Minimum Level of Education: High School or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years in the industry

 

 

Duties:
1. Deliver excellent customer service, deli counter services & order processing
2. Breaking hind & fore quarters, deboning, trimming, portioning
3. Ability to work relevant equipment (band saw, hand saw, knives, etc.)

 

4. Wrapping, packing, labelling of products (PC program)
5. Adhering to FIFO principles
6. Good hygiene practices
7. All other block man related duties to be fulfilled
8. Work according to schedule (including weekends)

 

 

Requirements:
– Understand and converse fluently in English
– Min 4 years’ experience
– Meat technician qualification advantage
– Punctual, reliable, good time management, sober habits

 

– Reliable transport
– Skillful block man with knowledge of all meat types & cuts
– Excellent customer service, relations and communication skills
– Teachable, willing to learn new things
– Team player, going the extra mile
