Established in 1973, MCM began as Botswana’s sole coal producer, primarily fueling the Morupule Power Station and supporting national development. Now a wholly owned subsidiary of Minerals Development Company Botswana (MDCB), the mine has significantly diversified its reach over the years. It presently supplies high-quality coal to a broad spectrum of industries, serving local markets within Botswana, alongside regional and international clients.
