The Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Botswana is the government body responsible for the country’s foreign affairs, headquartered in Gaborone. It formulates and implements Botswana’s foreign policy, manages diplomatic missions abroad, and represents the nation in international organisations such as the United Nations, African Union and SADC. The ministry also promotes Botswana’s economic interests overseas, facilitates trade and investment, and provides consular services to Batswana citizens. Through its work, it seeks to strengthen Botswana’s international standing and foster peaceful cooperation with other states.
