A Medical Management company based in Gaborone, Industromed Botswana, is seeking an experienced Managing Director to control its operations and strategically mobilize the business to achieve its financial vision, mission and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage resources, including the attracting, hiring and retention of personnel.
- Ensure employees move in the same strategic direction to achieve its mission.
- Create and report on business plans, monitoring efficacy and progress.
- Research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue and lower operating costs.
- Manage and report on the effective implementation of a marketing strategy to maintain market relevance and promote products and services to increase sales.
- Manage key personnel, clients and service providers.
- Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies inline with labor legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment.
- Preparation of annual reports and attending/presenting at board meetings.
Requirements
- 10 years experience having worked as a M.D. within the medical industry.
- Previous experience within a distributor and manufacturing environment.
- BA or BCom Hons degree however an MBA is preferred.
- A background in psychology or human resources is an advantage.
