Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
The candidate should be able to teach at least three of the following: structural geology, tectonics, metamorphic geology, mineralogy, field and general geology.
The successful candidate must also be able to take an active role in supervising and assessing undergraduate and graduate research work.
The Department reserves the right to allocate additional courses beyond those outlined above.

Requirements

Applicants should possess: (i) a PhD in structural geology and metamorphic geology or related discipline; (ii) evidence of governance and social engagement; (iii) research collaborations with other institutions or organisations; (iv) research collaboration with cognate disciplines in the University; (v) external examiner for Masters and/or PhD theses internationally.
UNIVERSITY TEACHING EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: 9 years
