Africa Voyages is a Botswana-based boutique travel agency specialising in tailor-made safaris for a French-speaking clientele. This role is designed as a learning and development position, offering hands-on exposure to trip reservations, supplier coordination, and client communication within a professional and supportive environment. The intern will work closely with the Reservations & Operations Manager and support the team in daily reservation tasks, while progressively gaining responsibility as confidence and skills develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with trips itinerary preparation and quotations
- Support reservation follow-ups and confirmations
- Update client documents and itineraries
- Support written communication with French-speaking clients
- Assist with supplier follow-ups and document collection
- Learn internal reservation workflows and systems
- Support on-the-ground guest coordination when appropriate
- Complete and pass sustainability training
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of sustainable tourism principles
Requirements
- University Degree in a related field
- Fluent in French and English (written & spoken) – essential
- Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Calm, curious, and willing to learn
- Strong interest in travel, tourism and sustainability
- Previous tourism experience is not required
