Organization Name: MEROPA resources
Responsible for developing and leading a team, providing expertise and applying rock mechanics principles to underground mine design challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Geotechnical and rock engineering analysis.
- Managing lab rock testing, design of underground slopes, normative and numerical modelling skills.
- Leading the development and execution of relevant interventions and solutions for the identified needs.
- Site inspections and monitoring.
- Ground support recommendations.
Requirements
- BSc Mining Engineering in Rock Mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering, BSc Hons in Geology and or Strata Control certificate highly recommended.
- 7 years plus preferably underground and portal support.
- Ability to use and operate MS Office.
- Knowledge of Rock Engineering input.
- Skills to Design of pillar and support system.
- Ability to Work with minimum supervision.
