GENERAL MANAGER – Mitchell Equipment Hire (MEH)

Mitchell Equipment Hire (MEH) is a Botswana Based Equipment Hire Company dedicated to offering equipment and machines to customers from large corporations to smaller, construction, and mining companies. The Company hires out compressors, graders and generators, to telehandlers, TLB’s, and excavators. With branches across Botswana- the Company is able to offer the best service and turnaround times in the country, with support from its trained and experienced team – saving our clients time & money.

The Company is currently looking to fill the following positions to be based in Botswana.

GENERAL MANAGER

In order to fulfil our obligations to our current work programs in Botswana, a candidate should have at least 10 years’ experience with the technical, mechanical, administrative and operational requirements and logistics of Heavy Mining Equipment Hire for Mining Activities.A sound knowledge of Equipment Hire Operations and knowledge of mining equipment such as Hitachi, CAT, JCB, Hidromek and Sullair Rigs is a must.

The candidate must have a sound knowledge in the Mining Industry.Successful candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience in coordinating the General Management of the Business in Botswana. Advantages pertain to candidates with experience with Sophisticated Mining Equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post graduate degree in commerce (essential)
• Work experience – lOYears in Heavy Construction and Mining equipment sales and rental (essential)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and review equipment and accessories sales.
• Manage implementation and support for the regional strategy
• Responsible for customer portfolio, in collaboration with Sales Department.
• Manage and review sales turnover and margin in the region.Proven track record drilling with International Companies in the Management of Equipment Hire is an added advantage.
