Teller, Maun
The incumbent will be expected safeguard custody cash received, processing withdrawal transactions, and handle telegraphic transfers.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Receive cash or payment in any other authorized mode from customers.
⦁ Reconcile cash / credit receipts with sales figures and prepare daily cash summary report for submission to Back Office Team Leader.
⦁ Respond to customer queries, offer efficient customer service and enhance the company’s image.
⦁ Keep count of customer traffic in to the branch and compile relevant information on a daily basis.
⦁ Deposit the cash/ cheques in the bank every day with a view to carefully protecting the company and customer funds.
⦁ Process and issue receipts for income from all sources received in the cash office checking that cash cheques and debit/credit card entries are correct
Key Requirements for this role
⦁ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Business Studies. Marketing or related field.
⦁ Minimum 1 year as a cashier in a banking environment or similar.
⦁ Bookkeeping experience.
⦁ Knowledge of Payment and Collections methods.
⦁ Experience of Bank Statements.
⦁ Understanding of Payment and Collection methodologies.
⦁ Credit control and management experience.
⦁ Cash book and bank reconciliation understanding.
