VACANCY: GENERAL MANAGER FRANCISTOWN

Job Function:

Manage all aspects of the 2 Francistown warehouses and all business activities in the Northern region.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in the creation and implementation of the company’s strategic plans, ensuring the achievement of continuous improvement, operational excellence and achievement of budgeted profits, overall growth and sustainability, creating and maintaining sound working relationship with all stakeholders and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Performance Areas:

⦁ Project management experience.
⦁ Senior business management experience
Understanding the process of onboarding new SA Principals and overseeing incorporation into the overall business model of CA Sales
Experience in the setting up of new business units

This will include:

⦁ Setting up an ERP IT operating system
⦁ Working towards getting the operation ISO certified
⦁ Ensuring the companies’ SOPs are adhered to and conducting regular audits
⦁ Warehouse
• Stock control (Stock rotation and levels required) of Raw Materials, Packaging and Finished Goods
■ Logistics
⦁ Managing the logistics of both inbound and outbound logistics
⦁ Ensure effective cost control
⦁ Optimization of routes and reduction of cost
■ Accounting
⦁ Overseeing and managing the accounting processes in accordance with the company’s requirements.
⦁ Develop budgets in conjunction with senior management and adhering to approved budgets.
. Staff
⦁ Adhere to company HR policies and Labor Law.
⦁ Ensure continued staff training and development.
⦁ Create a staff ethos and culture in line with the company’s policies
⦁ Ensuring that key positions are managed to minimize risk to the business.

Qualifications Required

⦁ Technical/Scientific studies at the tertiary level

Skills and Experience Required

⦁ A minimum of 20 years experience at a senior management/director level in an FMCG environment
⦁ Operational strength and proven track record.
⦁ Excellent communication skills, and interpersonal and networking ability.
⦁ Commercial, budgeting and forecasting acumen with analytical ability.
⦁ Candidates must have excellent leadership skills and must demonstrate a management style that is strongly focused on efficiencies, compliance, and leadership.
⦁ Thorough knowledge of operational systems, policies, and procedures.
⦁ Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management system
