Team Member, Fraud Vigilance

Development and execution of a pro-active antifraud strategy within the bank as per banking law and regulations for effective prevention, initial investigation of suspected internal & external frauds across the Bank and perform as an advisory & consultative officer that include evaluation & assessment of fraud risk and recommendations for mitigation.

The Role includes:

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and review any unusual, irregular activities, transactions and data suspected for possible fraud by utilizing appropriate analytical techniques.
• Monitor suspicious transactions via channels (cards, internet banking, mobile banking, etc) and any other channel
• Monitor suspicious changes to customers’ profiles or mandates
• Monitor suspicious activities on accounts that have been restricted or have been inactive
• Receiving fraud alerts from the Anti-fraud application, anti-money laundering monitoring and staff/customer complaints for further course of action.
• Initiate proactive investigation based on results of self-initiated research that leads to further findings and use own initiative, sound judgment and experience to reach appropriate decisions.
• Generate weekly report on monitoring activities.

• Regulatory knowledge and background in Fraud and Financial Crime.

Additional Advantageous requirements

• BCertification in Banking
• Recognized professional certification such as CISA, CRISC. CISSP. CFA. CIS. ACCA. ACA. CFP. CFE. AC AMS etc

 

 

Key requirements for this role

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Relevant Masters’ degree will be an advantage
• Minimum of 2 years in banking/financial services/law enforcement institution with experience in banking operations, credit analysis, environmental/industry analysis. Assets/liabilities management, operational risk management, and information technology operations.
