BOILER FITTER – Northern Textile Mills PTY Ltd

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the following vacancy that exists in our factory (Northern Textile Mills PTY Ltd) based in Francistown.

 

1.   BOILER FITTER

Job Purpose: Responsible for the maintenance and overhaul of boilers, compressors and the humidification plant and utility services. To repair, service and maintain the coal fired boiler.

 

Job Requirement:

•   The incumbent must have textile background knowledge in steam boiler.

•   Should have good knowledge of maintenance and operation of coal fired Boilers.

•    Must have 10 years practical experience in the repair and maintenance of coal boilers.

•   Should have atleast a Certificate or a Diploma in Boiler operations with mechanical aptitude.

 

Responsible for:

•    Planned preventative and predictable maintenance

•   Timeous response to breakdowns to reduce downtime

•    Maintaining records of jobs done on boilers, compressors, utilities and water treatment plant.

•   Devise training programs for the trainees (understudy) and the boiler operators to ensure maximum plant availability and utilisation

•   Undertaking any other job assigned to by the Workshop Manager or Foreman
