Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality mechanical repairs.
• Oversee maintenance of trucks, trailers, and equipment while enforcing safety, legal, and quality standards.
• Lead and develop workshop staff, drive performance, and maintain strong team engagement.
• Implement quality control, conduct inspections, and monitor operational performance.
• Manage budgets, optimise resources, control costs, and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align workshop output with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering; ERB registration (Botswana) required.
• 8+ years’ experience in a mechanical environment, including 4 years in a managerial role (mining experience advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of workshop equipment, repair processes, safety standards, and quality-control practices.
• Proven communication, leadership, and problem-solving ability with experience managing teams and clients.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and ability to analyse operational challenges and implement solutions.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment.
