The Botswana Harvard Health Partnership (BHP) is seeking a reliable, assertive, results driven individual to join the CTU in the position of Senior QA Coordinator. The incumbent will provide quality oversight across CTU research sites, support audit and monitoring processes, identify areas for improvement, and coordinate corrective and preventive action plans to promote highquality, compliant, and efficient clinical research operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • development, implementation and evaluation of corrective action plans,
  • revisions of QM plan for increased vigilance of identified problem areas
  • Participating in continued site training.
  • Quality Assurance Coordinator will assess and implement the Quality Management Plan.
  • Under the direction of the CTU Principal Investigators and the Study Coordinators you will ensure that research activities are carried out assuring patient safety and protection; protocol Adhering and regulatory and GCP compliance.
  • Working closely with team members including study physicians, nurses and data management staff for the proper implementation and monitoring of study protocols.
  • Implementation and supervision of QM activities at Gaborone and Molepolole CRS’s where CTU researches are conducted.
  • Developing Quality Control and Quality Assurance tools that include but not limited to; visit reminder tools, Audit worksheet, data entry, query transmission reports, error re-ports, Clinical site monitoring reports, Unit generated summary reports of QA/QC find-ings, other tools such as unit developed case report form, error logs, protocol deviation forms.
  • Summarizing, communicating and analyzing QM findings.
  • Periodic summarization of findings of internal research record audits and QC findings, identifying any adverse trends or improvement over previous reporting periods.
  • Summarizing annually all QM activities to be submitted to DAIDS with the annual progress report.
  • Communicating and documenting review of QM summary reports with staff which should include: – Identification of problem areas – exploration of possible causes of problem areas (root cause analysis)

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and Communication skills.
