Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger integrity and reconciliations.
• Review and approve journals.
• Prepare special journals (intercompany, tax, provisions).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Support quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Provide financial inputs for Board packs.
• Provide weekly cash flow updates (bank balances).
• Prepare and file tax returns via BURS portal.
• Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act and statutory obligations.
• Maintain and continuously improve the internal control environment.
• Prepare audit schedules.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Support group consolidation reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part-qualified CA (BICA/ICAEW/SAICA), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong internal controls and process improvement mindset.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general ledger and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, data-driven reporting tools, and advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel).
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
