Organization Name: RHINO. Job Title: Diesel Plant Fitter & Plant Manager – Mining Environments. Role Purpose: This challenging role will be suited to a well experienced and detail orientated individual with a demonstrable ability to juggle multiple activities in an extremely pressurised environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics of Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic systems, cooling systems, repairs, overhauls & maintenance of fuel injection systems, exhaust systems and cooling systems.
- Repairs, trouble shooting and maintaining mobile heavy duty construction equipment.
- Maintenance and repair on pressure vessels and lifting equipment.
- Managing systems including Lubrication systems, Engine control systems, major internal engine repairs/ overhauls, installation and alignment of engines and machinery and electrical repairs.
- Operating/maintaining Motor Graders, Dozers, Tractors, Dump trucks, Shovels, TLB’s, various sizes and makes of Excavators and Front-end loaders, Drill rigs, Trucks and buses.
- Motor vehicle maintenance: replacing engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, electrics and braking systems.
- Running workshop operations, overseeing plant maintenance, repairs and inspections on Mining Sites.
- Maintaining fleet vehicles and managing a planned maintenance program followed by all mechanics.
- Performing general and preventative maintenance, managing service records, maintenance records and part inventory.
- Managing health, safety and risk management strategies in mining environments.
- Providing fast, efficient and organised back up for production targets.
- Housekeeping on Mining sites, supervising and co-ordinating support functions.
- Running daily job coaching and on-site training sessions.
- Demonstrating ideas and efforts to improve operations, cut costs, improve turnaround time to repair machines and streamline processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the related field, mainly mining
- Certificate/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Certificate in Diesel plant fitting
- Certificate of Motor/ Plant Mechanics – including diesel and tractor mechanics
- Vast motor spares experience
- Must have good communication skills and be able to manage Mining sites and employees
