Job description

We are seeking a Financial Controller (Finance Manager) based in Gaborone, Botswana. Our client is  a global telecommunications company specialising in wireless communication networks across emerging regions.

 

This position will be hands on finance role overseeing a team of five finance staff, reporting into the CEO

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the finance team to ensure productivity
• Working on bank reconciliations
• Capturing invoices on Pastel
• Overseeing on-line Pastel
• Working on payables

• Completing the monthly board finance reports and ensuring the deadlines are meet
• Overseeing the monthly stock-takes
• Working with CEO to ensure all financial compliances are meet
• Working with third parties on due diligence procedures.
• Negotiations with suppliers
• Overseeing that all account systems are integrated and automated, therefore a good knowledge of digitalization

• Working with department to ensure company delivers budget
• Reviewing costs quarterly and working on a program to reduce these
• Ensuring the billing system captures everything.

 

Key Requirements:

• Degree Educated
• Experience in the Telecommunications sector
• 3-5 years experience  working in a similar Finance role.

 

Offer:

$5000 USD (Gross) per month (Paid in Pula)
