ACCOUNTANT – Estate Construction (Pty) Ltd 1209 views

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial performance
• Monitor and control construction project costs and expenses
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments
• Assist with tender costing, pricing, and financial analysis
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Manage payroll and subcontractor payments
• Support audits and maintain proper financial documentation
• Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to management
• Preparation of vat returns and With holding Tax calculations for subcontractors and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / AAT
• Minimum of 5 years experience
• Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with contractors and project budgets is an advantage
• Strong analytical and financial management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Integrity and professionalism
• Good communication and teamwork skills
