Contemporary Linen, a growing linen manufacturing company, is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the company’s financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (BURS, VAT, PAYE,)
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents
- Use accounting software and Excel for data analysis and reporting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in an accounting role
- Verifiable references from previous employers
- Minimum qualification of AAT (Accounting Technician)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, or similar)
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information
