Life Gaborone Private Hospital (Life Healthcare Group) is hiring Sonographers, Radiation Therapists and Diagnostic Radiographers. The positions are based at the hospital and the Westgate Branch of Radiology Department. The successful candidates will contribute to the effective functioning and management of the departments and ensure quality care to all patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all types of ultrasound examinations and provide report of findings/results.
- Use ultrasound modality to provide information on diagnosis and treatment related to patient.
- Be analytical to interpret images accurately.
- Make recommendations for further assessment with other imaging modalities.
- Adhere to all quality control standards.
- Be able to communicate and give relevant information to referring doctor in accordance with ethical parameters.
- Adhere to company protocols, procedures and other safety rules.
- Conduct basic radiation therapist duties as allocated by the department.
- Set up treatment of patient on the linear accelerator.
- Familiar with quality assurance and its implication.
- Have knowledge of treatment planning, CT and MRI Scanning.
- Adhere to all quality control standards.
- Conduct simulation of patients in preparation for treat.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and procedures.
- Conduct – General x-ray procedures
- Fluoroscopy investigations
- Mammography
- Bone densitometry – Dexa
- CT Scanning and MRI Scanning
- Adhere to all quality control standards.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate Diploma/Degree trained Radiation Therapists/Radiographers/Sonographers.
- At least four (4) years work experience in the busy Oncology and Radiology practice(s).
- Valid registration with Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC).
