BOPEU Invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for the position of Administration Assistant tenable at Botswana Public Employees Union, Maun Regional Office.
Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of staff and stakeholders to and from offices of BOPEU and destinations who require to travel for any official purpose, carry out courier functions and/or collect any documents or goods for BOPEU or from BOPEU to any other individual or organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up items and documents, and ensure accurate capture of items and documentation.
- Keep all vehicles free from damage, in acceptable condition, and consistently in a clean state.
- Ensure that the vehicle is in proper and safe condition prior to use, and accept responsibility to report any damage or mechanical malfunctions that exist.
- Manage various items responsibly while in the act of loading, unloading, or transporting items, ensuring that cargo is properly secured to avoid damage.
- Transport employees, visitors, and other individuals as directed, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Collecting of mails from the post office. Dispatching of invoices to relevant stakeholders.
- Do official banking as required.
- Assist in photocopying, filing, and any other duties assigned by admin as well as provide customer service as required.
- Operate assigned vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time to meet the exigencies of BOPEU.
Requirements
- COSC/GCE Certificate and Light Duty Driving License
- Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Heavy Duty Driving License will be an added advantage
- A minimum of three years driving experience in a similar type of professional office environment.
