Key Performance Areas
1.Financial Management (Budgets, Monitoring & Tracking)
●To lead the month and year end processes in line with the organisation’s deadlines,ensuring all accrual and prepayment are made in line with financial procedures.

 

●To investigate and report on significant budgetary variances,identifying remedial action to be taken
●To analyse the month end financial position, investigate variances and make appropriate adjustments if necessary in line with internal procedures
●To produce monthly detailed management accounts for HODs,summarising the financial performance to date and providing explanations of key variances

2.Year End and Financial Planning
●Support year end financial management and reporting including assisting with the completion of the annual financial statements
●To assist in the preparation of future year budgets considering relevant activity data,cost pressures service developments and working with departmental managers to establish budgetary submissions

3.Business Analysis
●To analyse the impact of process changes and provide the cost implications of process redesign, adjusting budgets in accordance with changes in service provision if necessary
●To work with senior managers and service leads to prepare business cases and bids for new business and /or service re-design

4. Risk Management
●Drive the departmental risk registers in conjunction with the company risk coordinator
●Drives the implementation of the departmental mitigation controls
●Ensures process owners closes all audit issues identified by both internal and external audit

Experience/Knowledge & Skills
●3 years post qualification experience, preferably in a financial institution
●Exposure to a management accounting environment
●Experience in complex financial environment with various income streams
●Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualification
●Chartered Accounting, CIMA or an/equivalent
