Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall direction to the Company in line with its vision, mission, and long-term objectives.
- Develop and implement business strategies, growth initiatives, and operational plans to enhance profitability and market presence.
- Oversee underwriting, claims, finance, risk management, compliance, operations, and business development functions.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including those prescribed by Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) and international best practices.
- Drive innovation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, regulators, shareholders, reinsurers, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the executive management team to achieve operational excellence and a high-performance culture.
- Identify and pursue regional and international business opportunities to strengthen the Company’s competitive position.
- Represent the Company at industry forums, conferences, and public engagements.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as AIISA, ACII, CFA, CPA, FIA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services sector, with a minimum of 7 years at senior executive or leadership level.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance operations, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated track record in strategic leadership, business growth, stakeholder engagement, and financial performance management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Visionary and transformational leadership capabilities.
- High integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
