We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Lecturer in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security to join our Academic Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high- quality teaching and learning experiences and preparing students with the knowledge and practical skills required in the rapidly evolving fields of digital forensics and cyber security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare students with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in securing, protecting, and investigating digital systems.
  • Teach competencies in computational thinking, programming, systems management, and cyber security principles.
  • Deliver courses covering techniques used to detect, analyze, investigate, and respond to cyber threats and digital crimes.
  • Facilitate practical and theoretical learning activities that promote industry-relevant skills.
  • Foster innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial mindsets among students.
  • Participate in curriculum development, student assessment, academic advising, and other departmental activities as required.

Requirements

  • Honors Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • All qualifications must be recognized by the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA).
  • Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide proof of BQA evaluation.
  • A minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at tertiary education level.
  • Strong knowledge of digital forensics and cyber security concepts and practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students through effective teaching methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development.
