Key Responsibilities
- Assigned the responsibilities for the production and control of concrete process.
- Managing the production and control of the concrete process effectively and efficiently by planning, leading, organising, coordinating and controlling.
- Perform the production and control of the concrete functions effectively and efficiently by applying the implemented organization integrated management system (quality, environment, health and safety).
- Manage the production and control of the concrete process in a cross-functional manner, ensuring interrelation with other departments of the organization.
- Be accountable for the achievement of the production and control of the concrete process objectives.
- Establish, provide and maintain the appropriate environment necessary for the production and control of the concrete process.
- Support, guide and facilitate the concrete production team through the process.
- Act as a change agent for the concrete production team and other stakeholders.
- Foster and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Monitor, Measure, Analyse and Evaluate the performance of all concrete batch plant, equipment, vehicles producing and transporting concrete, including the concrete production team.

Requirements
- Minimum of Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or related from a recognized university.
- Full membership of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
- Be proficient with the complete Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- At least three (3) years post qualification experience in building and civil engineering construction or materials science, focusing on classes that cover the properties of concrete, testing methods, and quality control.
- Good understanding of environment, community, occupational health and safety statutory and regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills using process approach and risk-based thinking.
- Very passionate about the design, production and control of concrete mixtures.
- Knowledge of aggregates, cement, and admixtures.
- Knowledge of specifications applicable to the construction environment.
- Ability to manage people in a dynamic and uncertain environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and have good time management.
- Ability to balance concrete production competing demands (scope, time, cost and quality) in order to meet or exceed stakeholders’ needs and expectations.
