Key Responsibilities
- Recording and maintaining daily financial transactions
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and accounting records
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciling bank accounts, supplier accounts and financial records
- Preparing and filing VAT returns and tax-related documentation
- Maintaining ongoing tax and statutory compliance
- Managing and reconciling petty cash
- Preparing and sending customer statements
- Following up with customers regarding outstanding accounts and payments
- Processing and allocating customer payments
- Maintaining well-organised financial records and supporting documentation

Requirements
- Has a minimum of 7 years’ proven experience in bookkeeping and accounts administration
- Is highly proficient and well-versed in QuickBooks, with solid practical experience using the software for day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration
- Has a good working knowledge of VAT, taxation and Botswana financial compliance requirements
- Is competent in spreadsheets and general financial administration
- Has strong reconciliation and numerical skills
- Is accurate, organised and highly attentive to detail
- Can work independently and take ownership of deadlines
- Is confident following up professionally on outstanding customer payments
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, integrity and accountability
- Has good written and verbal communication skills
