Reporting to Manager, Administration, the Records Management Officer will direct and manage the maintenance, distribution, use, retention and disposal of BGI’s records in accordance with policy and ethical standards to ensure optimal use of administrative records

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Archives & Records Management/Information Management or equivalent
- 3 years post qualification within a records management environment
Key Performance Areas
- Operational knowledge in records management policies, procedures and requirements
- Ability to provide organisation and description capabilities, create classification schemes, thesauri, authority files, indexes, document classification scheme, apply and maintain classification
- Basic insight and understanding of converting manual/semi-electronic systems to fully electronic systems
