Requirements

  • PhD in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related fields such as (Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Power, Energy, Control) from a recognized institution. The candidate must be registered with Engineers Registration Board (ERB) Botswana. The candidate must be registered with Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) as an Assessor and Moderator or eligible to register within one (1) year of assumption of duty.
  • At least six years post-doctoral experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry experience in the relevant field or discipline, at least four of which must be a Graduate supervision including successful doctoral Students
  • Experience in teaching at tertiary level for at least 3 years
  • A sustained and recent record of peer-reviewed publications and other research output over at least a six-year period (min. of 14 peer-reviewed publications of 198 journals / scopus or web of science indexed journals)
  • Experience of obtaining external research funding
