Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers and company vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults involving engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, steering and related systems.
- Attend to vehicle breakdowns and conduct on-site emergency repairs at TswanaGas locations nationwide.
- Conduct routine inspections, identify faults early and keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
Requirements
- National Craft Certificate (NCC) / Trade Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Plant Mechanics.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ proven experience working on heavy-duty trucks, diesel vehicles or fleet vehicles.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with knowledge of diesel engines, braking, suspension, transmission and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s licence. Class EC/Professional Driving Permit will be an added advantage.
- Must be able to work independently, respond to breakdowns and travel nationwide.
- LPG/hazardous-goods vehicle experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge in auto-electricity is an added advantage.
