VACANCY CIRCULAR NO 20 OF 2018

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Citizens of Botswana for the below mentioned post tenable in City of Francistown Council.

POST: TRACTOR DRIVER

QUALIFICATION: minimum of Standard 7 or above and 2 years valid Class F Driving license

SALARY: B4 (P 34 440 – P 40 956) per annum

LEAVE: 20 Working days per annum

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• To transport goods by driving Council tractor.

DUTIES:
• Operates tractor or any tractors which tour or are the prime movers for the other equipment that might be adjusted or operated by the Driver while is in motion
• Performs daily basic routine checks before starting the boat and reports identifiable faults to the supervisor
• Maintains tractor log book by ensuring that it is readily available in the vehicle and signed by action officer before commencement of journey
• Repairs tyre punctures and replaces worn out tyres and ensures that tyres are inflated to the correct pressure for the load and conditions of the road
• Washes and cleans the tractor and its accompaniments.
• Reports accidents to the police and supervisor
• Checks insurance and license disc for validity and reports expiration to the supervisor
• Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management
