POST: CARETAKER II (Special Education)

VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. 15 OF 2018

QUALIFICATIONS:                  BGCSE

WAGES:                                    B4 – (P35.484-P42,                 192) per annum

LEAVE:                                       20 working days

EXPERIENCE:                          Two (2) years at B5 scale

BENEFITS: Optional contributory medical aid scheme 50% paid by the government and 50% paid by the employee

Contributory pension, 15% paid by the government and 5% paid by the employee.

DUTIES

• Assists pupils in respect of home life activities such as proper eating habits, tidiness, hygiene, etc.
• Ensures positive social interaction between and amongst pupils during play
• Supervises pupils dunng transportation to ensure safely and maintains discipline
• Observes and discusses with parent, guardian or teacher any pupil’s condition likely to retard progress.

• Monitors pupils’ health, administers medication as prescribed and applies first aid where necessary.
• Ensures that pupils’ aid is clean and in good condition.
• Discusses with parent/guardian any peculiar behaviour to be observed
