The University is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position tenable at its campus in Gaborone

Specification

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide full Secretarial and Office Management Services and enhancing a positive image of the University;
• Manage the University’s reception/front desk as the first contact officer for the University’s customers ;
• Taking responsibility for routine clerical functions related to the effective manning of the reception area;
• Coordinate mail in and out of Office
• Generally manage the entire front desk area.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
First Degree in Business Administration/Business Communication/Public Relations/Secretarial Services/Marketing from a recognized institution or any other equivalent qualification on secretarial services.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Front Office Setting, Secretarial functions or in another clerical position will be an added advantage. Exposure to similar functions in a tertiary institution will be considered.

• Telephone Etiquette
• Good listening and writing skills
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Time management skills
• Strong working knowledge of Office procedures and basic accounting principles
• Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment
• Excellent typing skills with experience taking dictations
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Great organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work extra hours when required
