Unitrans Botswana, a road freight and fuel and chemical transportation, distribution and logistical Company requires the services of an experienced Botswana citizen to fill the following vacant position at its Gaborone Depot:

Despatch Managers

The incumbent is expected to ensure achievement of daily delivery targets and maintenance of vehicle utilisation by scheduling vehicles and allocating drivers as well as managing relations with customers and other role players. Applicants must have:

• strong supervisory and people-management skills, with special reference on Industrial Relations; a Certificate/Diploma in Transport or equivalent qualification;
• at least three years experience in a busy transport, distribution or supply chain planning environment ;
• experience in working with Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems is essential as you will be required to drive the implementation of ISO certification for 9001.14001,18001 and Occupational Health & Safety;

• a proven record in terms
• the ability to deal with people at all levels is essential, especially on a supplier basis;

• computer literacy skills with a good working knowledge of Excel, MS Word and Access;
• self- motivation
• Experience in Fuel & Chemical transport operations would be a distinct advantage.
