POSITION: ESTIMATOR/ CONTRACTS MANAGER

Qualified individuals urgently required for the above position tenable at one of our outlets in Gaborone.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To extract bills of quantities from Building Plans for customers and all necessary technical assistance to customers relating to building plans and bills of quantities.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manage and coordinate the Estimation Department
• Analyze construction drawing, technical specifications and bills of quantities and provide cost estimates for building materials.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and tender bids and secure business.
• Respond to clients’ needs by sourcing and providing quotes on specified items at competitive prices.
• Collaborate with contractors and consultants in promoting new and existing products as and when the need arises.
• Maintain a database of ongoing projects and submit reports to Management on required intervals.
• To be able to advise the customers on the specific product needs.
• Should have a sound knowledge of sales and marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc in either Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Architecture.
• A minimum of 10 years work experience, some of which should have been in building construction and/ or estimation.

• Extensive knowledge of various building materials is necessary.
