IT Technician – Motor Center Group Company

Duties and Responsibilities of the role:

• Monitor networking equipment, software and servers to ensure stable network
• Assist the IT manager with the design, implementation and ongoing support of new software and features
• Monitor web performance, network availability and security
• Respond to IT issues, hardware maintenance, software, networking etc
• Elevate connectivity issues, equipment and software

• Modify configurations, utilities, software etc
• Set up equipment for new users
• Perform data backups
• Assist with servers, LAN/WAN technologies, computer repair/troubleshooting software, networks, virus protection, WiFi technology, upgrades etc
• Set up equipment for new users Train staff on IT equipment/software
• Order from and maintain good relations with our suppliers

Experience (minimum 3 years) and Qualifications

• Diploma, Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, information systems or related field preferred
• Sound knowledge VB and/or in motor dealer management (DMS) and accounting systems (ERP) will be an added advantage
• Previous experience as a Computer Technician or IT support
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve multiple issues
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Comfortable in a diverse and fast-paced environment

• Experience working with network and server management support
• Up-to-date knowledge of new system, software and upgrades
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squatand lift equipment
