FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR – FSG

Applications are invited from qualified Botswana citizens for the position of Finance Administrator tenable at Gaborone

1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To effectively and efficiently supervise and monitor all the accounting related functions for the benefit of the group including financial reporting

2. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Overall supervision of all accounting functions within the group
Preparation of management reports on a monthly basis in accordance with IFRS and IAS requirements
Preparation of monthly financial statements and consolidated financial statements for presentation to the Board

Managing all day-to-day administration work within Finance department
Preparing of Board packs and timely distribution thereof
Assisting in new projects
Preparing annual budgets
Handling matters arising from Vat, Income tax and other legislation

3. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
Associate member of BICA; and

At least five years of post-qualification work experience in the industry
Exposure in entities with international operations will be an advantage

4. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge and experience of preparation of financial statements as per International Financial Reporting Standards
Ability to handle tight deadlines and be able to work under pressure
Ability to use spreadsheets, power point and other business software
Supervisory skills

Sense of urgency and thoroughness
Effective communication at all levels
