Career & Guidance Counsellor x 2 – Botswana Accountancy College

Main purpose of the job:

To provide psycho-social support, career counselling services and career readiness programmes to BAC students.

Key Performance Areas:

• Set the strategy for career counselling services and translate this into policy, processes and systems.
• Design, develop, monitor and evaluate programmes for career counselling services

• Manage personal stress, conflicting priorities, interdependencies for students
• Provide guidance in terms of personal exploration, assessment, goal setting and other techniques to gain personal mastery on career related matters
• Coordinate activities aimed at promoting student welfare 
• Plan and manage group counselling, workshops and support groups  
• Develop and implement client service initiatives to increase client satisfaction
• Manage student services and promote integration with academic learning services

Experience and qualifications:

Master’s degree in Psychology, counselling or related field. Membership of Botswana professional Health Council would be an added advantage.

Atleast eight (8) years of work experience in Guidance and Counselling, preferably in an academic environment, three (3) of which should have been at a supervisory level
