RMB Botswana – Quantitative Analyst

The successful incumbent(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Use statistical modelling and data analysis to optimize processes, inform strategic decisions, monitor implementation of business decisions, as well offer market intelligence insights
• Conduct extensive data mining and analysis to influence creative business solutions
• Manage the research database and continuously update data for all key economic and business variables
• Work closely with segments to provide insights on trends and competitive landscape, with a view to offer strategic advice on profitability pools projections and product offering
• Collaborate with the Africa Research team in analysing Botswana and Africa macro-economic and financial markets to guide relevant corporates and institutions on prospects for investing in Africa

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Financial Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or relevant quantitative field
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years’ experience in financial modelling or related field;
• Able user of Microsoft Office, Internet, Bloomberg, Matlab, E-Views or any related research software.
