BRANCH MANAGER

We are seeking a MANAGER with extensive experience in Project Freight Forwarding for our new established office in Gaborone, Botswana.

We are specialized in Project Freight Forwarding and special transportation of turnkey Projects, plant equipment, Building and Construction materials to and from Worldwide destinations.

We arrange transportations by sea (BB / FCL / RORO), Air, Rail, Road, customs, certifications and perform consultancy in all aspects of the shipping industry.

We tailor make transport solutions to meet the specific requirements of our customers and partners around the World.

We have been in the Project Freight Forwarding business for more than 30 years and have built up an extensive knowledge and know how in the shipping Industry around the globe.

We are a Young innovative team with head office in Denmark and own offices in Italy, The Netherlands and UAE.

• You will work as a part of our worldwide sales team with focus to develop our business in the South African region.
• You will be responsible for the daily running of our office in Botswana and report direct to management.
• You will be involved in all aspects of the daily work assignments – sales, operation, business development, administration, accounts, contact with local authorities, training of team members.
• You will work independently as well as in a team across our offices.
• You will work in an international environment with many nationalities and cultures where English is our first language
• We sell 1st class service therefore you must have the highest service level and always strive to higher the bar
• Our working mentality have roots in North European working culture

• You must have minimum 15 years working experience in the freight forwarding and shipping industry.
• You must have experience in leadership and overseas experience is preferable.
• You must have experience in seafreight (FCL, FCL OOG, RORO, conventional), airfreight, road, customs formalities, certifications
• You must have experience in sales development in the South African region. Incl. Sales and purchase negotiations.
• You must have working experience with the countries in the South African region (minimum Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Congo) and Europe, Middle East, Far East, South and North America.
• You have a “never give up” attitude, self-motivated, committed to the team and full of energy
• You take initiative, open minded responsible and able to work independent as well as in a team
• You are eager to learn and develop
