VACANCY CIRCULAR NO, 20 OF 2018 -CLERK OF WORKS

Applications are invited suitably qualified BOTSWANA CITIZEN for the Two (2) position of Temporary Clerk of Works for a 12 months (1 year) tenable in North West District Council ( Maun Administrative Authority and Okavango Sub District) SALARY: Cl (P144, 072) per annum.

LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.

QUALIFICATION: Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Degree in Architecture or related field

BENEFITS: 40% Scare Skills and Housing & Upkeep Allowance

EXPERIENCE: At least two years’ experience in related field

DUTIES

• Becoming conversant with the relevant drawings and written instructions, checking them and using them as reference when inspecting the work.
• Taking measurements and samples on site to make sure that the work and materials meet the specifications and quality standards.
• Being familiar with legal requirements and checking compliance.
• Prepares details and drawings from approved sketches.
• Prepares preliminary cost estimates for maintenance works.
• Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management
