Job description
The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the formulation of Botswana’s Corporate Banking Strategy, which will also be aligned to Corporate Banking Africa priorities. The incumbent will lead and co-ordinate various sub-components to grow the Botswana business on a sustainable basis. Their overall duty will be to drive strategy formulation and implementation that covers transactional banking, foreign exchange, trade and working capital and operations.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Development, execution and monitoring of a Corporate Banking (CB) Botswana strategy (aligned to CB and RMB South Africa Strategies) that covers, products/solutions and clients in and to facilitate achievement of related short and long term business goals in the most effective and efficient manner.
Build strong business relationships within country leadership across the FNBB franchise and with support business units based in South Africa.
Approve/amend key performance indicators for the purpose of performance monitoring and quality measurement of the Corporate Banking Business and systematic monitoring of their achievements in terms of Assets and Liabilities.
Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g. FNBB and RMB Coverage) to influence their sales activities and monitor these to ensure alignment to the strategy of Foreign Exchange Product House (FXPH), Trade and Working Capital (TWC) & Transactional Banking (TXB) priorities.
Ensure optimal client engagement and deal management (that RMB has the best possible relationships and is able to deliver on the solutions clients require) and oversee the roll-out of innovative corporate banking products by the respective business heads and monitor their performance.
Manage, control, monitor and assume responsibility of corporate Banking risk profile and portfolio quality in line with the expectations of credit committee/executive committee.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics or related fields
Post graduate business degree will be an added advantage
7 – 10+ years in Corporate Banking environment with experience in either Foreign Exchange Trading, Transactional Banking or trade & working capital as a base strength
The successful candidate must have a min of 5 years in a senior management position in a similar environment (either in Botswana, the rest of Africa or globally).
